This site exists to bring one of humanity's oldest games to as many people as possible, in their own language. Whether you know it as tavla, tavli, nard, or backgammon, the rules and the history here are the same game told from every angle.

We built a dedicated site for each language rather than a single page with a switcher, so every reader gets a page written and structured for them — not just translated in place. If your language isn't listed yet, it's on our list.
